| One of a new breed of rock performers to emerge from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, now based in New York City, Jerry Cherry (born Jerry James Giamundo, Brooklyn, New York: guitars/vocals) formed the band Jerry Cherry in 2003. "Creativity for me is almost like therapy," he says. His songs take you into the deepest recesses of his mind, and you'll find some crazy stuff in there. Jerry's musical output is equally informed by modern alternative rock, 70s Brit Pop, folk, blues, old country, rockabilly, musicals, and everything that makes an emotion stir.Jerry Cherry just released his self produced debut CD, titled "Life Is Sweeter...". It's an album that's heartfelt, thoughtful, upbeat, and very optimistic. The album was mixed by multi-platinum engineer Mike Rogers who recorded and mixed Deee-Lite's breakthrough album “World Clique” and the single “Groove is in the Heart.” | |
