| Animals' Angels is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization incorporated in Maryland with full-time investigators working in the United States and Canada. Our focus is on improving conditions for farm animals. We work primarily on the field, trailing livestock trucks on highways and visiting livestock auctions, collecting stations and slaughterhouses. We closely cooperate with auction managers, transport companies and numerous authorities (police, veterinarians, the United State Department of Agriculture and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.) Animals' Angels investigators are highly qualified and come with a variety of professions, including veterinarians, lawyers, animal behaviorists and forensic specialists. We objectively report what we observe and share the results with market owners, transport companies, and local authorities. Our goal is to cooperate with all parties, discuss problems and suggest possible solutions. We strongly believe that the most effective way to bring about improvements for the animals is through open and productive communication. Only if this approach fails do we consider possible legal action or involving the media.In addition, Animals' Angels provides educational seminars for police and humane officers to enhance their knowledge of current animal cruelty law and to demonstrate procedures in dealing with violations. |
