JOSEPH DAYHEE was born in 1982 in Paris. His love affair with music began from the cradle, quite literally, since his parents’ love for soul music, gospel music, jazz and rythmn and blues and rock had great influence on him. In 2002, at the age of 20, he decided to face facts: music is what he is made for. So, he got DJ equipment, he then became aware of all he could express through his instruments by combining technique and imagination.His career started in 2003 under the stage name of DJ Sphinx. At the time, his core musical field is r’n’b. From there, his career kicked off and he mixed in Paris trendiest and most select clubs nightclubs, such as “Le Manray”, “L’Etoile” but also “The 287”. He also signed a contract to play monthly at Paris most luxurious department store Les Galeries Lafayette. This will be the occasion for him to increasingly incorporate electro-house sonorities into his creations and for his musical style to become more complex and versatile.In 2007, Joseph dayhee keeps working hard to achieve his ambitions. That year, he met James Simon, who initiated him into the art of record producing and with whom he formed the duo DA PLAYMAKERS.2008 is a year Joseph dayhee wants to fully dedicate to clubbers; he is determined to make people from dancefloors around the world remember his name. But most importantly 2008 will be marked by the launching of different club-orientated “single”, produced by him, but also by the other half of the band DA PLAYMAKERS, James Simon…A new “french touch” star is born and it is only starting to shine…JOSEPH DAYHEE est né en 1982 à Paris. La passion de ses parents pour la soul, le gospel, le jazz et le rythmn n blues et le rock l’a fortement influencé. En 2002, à l’âge de 20 ans, il se procure ses premières platines et s’aperçoit alors que ses instruments peuvent réellement lui permettre de s’exprimer. C’est en 2003 qu’il débute sa carrière sous le nom de DJ SPHINX, période où ses sets étaient très ciblé r’n’b, de là tout s’enchaine à une vitesse incroyable, 287, Le mix etc…. Très vite, son coté show man le propulse dans l’univers très fermé des boîtes select parisiennes comme Le Manray, L’Etoile… Il obtient également une résidence mensuelle dans le très luxueux grand magasin parisien les galeries Lafayette Haussmann. Ce sera l’occasion pour lui de s’affirmer et d’avoir une identité bien marquée pour la musique électronique. 2007 sera la continuité de ses ambitions sur le plan clubbing mais surtout sera marquée par la rencontre de James Simon qui l’initiera à la production et avec lequel il formera le duo DA PLAYMAKERS. 2008 est une année dédiée aux clubbers, Joseph dayhee est decidé à faire vibrer le plus grand nombre de dancefloors, mais 2008 sera surtout l’année de la sortie de divers maxi ciblé clubbing, produits par Joseph dayhee et également par l’autre moitié de son groupe DA PLAYMAKERS, James Simon. Une nouvelle étoile french touch est née et elle ne fait que commencer à briller…
