Abroad, I've lived in Galway, Seattle, Vancouver, Rome and Quimper. I love the outdoors and my favourite interests are photography, writing, painting and music (fiddle, guitar, mando, cello and I sing) Music Biography Shona is a fiddle-playing photo journalist who learnt to play the fiddle by ear with Edinburgh’s Shetland Fiddlers Association before receiving a scholarship from Alasdair Fraser to learn in America with Willie Hunter from Shetland and Buddy MacMaster from Cape Breton. In Canada, Shona guested with the Waterboys before journeying to Ireland with Martin Hayes and continuing to learn from fiddlers John Sheahan Dubliners, Steve Wickham Waterboys and Gerry O’Connor La Lugh. I'd like to meet:My Work I work in project management and specialise in marketing, communications, funding and events. Having worked in different countries and around Scotland, in 2006 I moved back to Edinburgh and established my portfolio career. I enjoy the challenge I get from delivering business projects together with the satisfaction I feel from realising my own creative pursuits. In my 'Day Job' I work in the management of business, arts and community development projects. Freelance, I work as a Photo-journalist, Musician and am an Arts Adviser. In addition, I am engaged in the delivery of my own creative projects including photo exhibitions, books and a CD of my own music.
