My name is Taz. I'm a 10 year young Siberian Husky, born on July 2nd 1996, but I look and act very youthful for my age! I am crazy, playful, hyperactive, and often get myself into trouble! I am dilute black and white and I have what is called a splash coat. Things I like to do? Well, I love to go for long walks, especially at the preserve by my house. I enjoy running for hours on end at the dog park with all my friends, or even by myself. I LOVE toys. I have so many different toys! I am the biggest ham in the world, I love to cuddle, be held and hugged, and give kisses. I am very needy for attention. When I go to the park, I say hello to every person there. Doesn't matter if there's like 20 people, I go one by one to each person. I can't help it, I am so friendly and love everyone! I am very talkative as well. I can woo woo woo howl allll day long! I use it sometimes to back talk people too :] Although I am an overall good dog, I've gotta bad side too. C'mon, they don't call me Taz for nothing! I love food. And I will do anything to get food. I don't care if it's straight taking it out of your hand, sticking my head in the trash, counter surfing, whatever! I am VERY bold, and I will snatch food off your plate or out of your hand. Nothing against any human, I just love to eat. Mom's been trying to curb me of my begging and obsession to get food for almost 2 years now and it hasn't work at all. I'm so determined! I also enjoy hunting, I have caught birds and squirrels.. squirrels are NOT easy to catch friends, you have to have the right technique. I'm surprised the suckers still have the guts to come in my yard! But above the only when your eating or when I'm hunting side of Taz, I am a very sweet and gentle dog. I love everyone, children and adults. I have a great temperament and can put up with a LOT, from other dogs harassing me to children pulling on my fur, although it makes mommy a bit mad! I am also very cat-friendly, so kitties, don't be afraid of me, I may be big and scary looking to you, but I just wanna be friends! I am also a rescue, here's my story in the box below! I spent the first 9 years of my life in Manhattan, NYC. I lived in an apartment with some other Huskies. Our owners were very neglectful of us. I had to deal with it for my whole life up until now. I never had anyone to love me, and pet me, and give kisses to. They would leave my siblings and I alone when they went on vacation, without anyone to check up on us or anything. It was abuse and torture for us. My life started to changed in late August 2005. I had a feeling I was leaving my home, because the landlord said that my owners would have to get rid of one of the dogs, and I figured they would pick me because I am the oldest. Well, I was right. I kept hearing the horrible words over and over that they were going to put me to sleep. One day, one of my owners was walking me (for once), and we ran into a nice woman named Sue, who said I was beautiful and wanted to pet me. My owner asked her if she wanted me, and that he would be putting me to sleep either later on that day or the next day. God, I hate hearing that. Sue, being the animal lover she is, told him to sit tight and she would find a home for me, because she definetly did not want that happening. Now, my mommy right now, had always wanted a Siberian Husky. Since she was about 8 years old. She's not really supposed to own a dog, so she was interested in fostering a Husky in need, so she could help out and also get a feel of what it's like owning one. Out of the hundreds of ads she saw about Huskies, I think it was fate that I was the only one she responded to. Her & Sue agreed that my mommy could take me for foster care. No one else responded to my ad. Because I was 9 years old and everyone wants puppies. People that did respond ignored Sue when they found out my age. If my mommy hadn't responded, I would be in Doggy Heaven right now. So, on September 6th, 2005, Sue brought me out to Long Island, NY to drop me off at my new foster mommy's house. I was scared and depressed. Even though I was treated like crap, it's still hard to change after 9 years. I was like this for about a week or two, but I started to open up and I started to realize that someone was treating me with love and kindness. It was only a matter of time before my "foster" mommy & I fell in love with each other. So, after some hard thinking and talking with my "grandpa" (mommy's dad), we all decided to adopt each other! Yep, my mom is a failed foster mom.. hahaha Now, I couldn't be any happier. Yes, I'm 10 1/2, but now I act like a puppy instead of a depressed & sad dog. Sue visits my mommy & I sometimes and she is just so astonished at how good I look and how happy I am. She says I am a completely different dog from when she first met me! My mommy & I are extremely lucky & blessed to have found each other. It's great to experience the good side of life! Nowadays, I enjoy spending time with my mommy, going on walks, going to the dog park and just being loved! Ladies, I am taken by the most beautiful dog I have ever laid eyes on, LUNA . We have been together since January 18th 2006 (that's over a year now) and I am very much in love with her. She was also my very first friend I really talked to on here. We are very close, nothing or no one will separate us. Fellas, please don't flirt with her. I know she's gorgeous, but she's all mine! DISCLAIMER: I am not available for stud services, thank you. I get too many inquiries about this. I am a Christmas Miracle. Read the story in the box. On the morning of December 25th 2006 (This past Christmas), I ran from my yard right into a really busy road and I got hit by a car going 30-40 miles an hour. I got extremely lucky and escaped death, without even an injury to show for it. I had a slight limp and swelling in my left leg, but that's about it and I'm feeling great now! I am 100% better and I healed pretty darn quick. I'm a tough boy! I'm in action and feeling better than ever. Thanks to all my friends who prayed for me and kept me in their thoughts!
