About Me |
|
| I Started writing at the age of 14, short stories and poetry. At the time, I mostly wrote more out of hobby, than anything else. Ideas and thoughts just came to me, and infected my brain. I spent some time in high school on the staff of the literary Magazine, and submitted poetry for that every year. Starting in 1994, I began to submit poetry to be published on a single poem basis several times a year. I have won awards, and will be releasing a collection of poetry in late 2007, or early 2008. It is titled If It Were Hope. In 2000 I published my first novel, Reflected Evil. It can be viewed at Amazon.com and the publisher Xlibris.com Just go and look up My Name or the title. I can tell you that I was not very pleased with that edition of the novel though I still like the story. I plan to UPDATE it for a new revised edition sometime in the future. The story still has a sequel on the horizon too, called Black Glass Coven. The New Book, The Dark Curse Of Whispers, is available at Amazon and at the publisher's web site, www.publishamerica.com It is also available at bn.com and is now at all ONLINE bookstores. Also, at Target.com Look it up by title or my name, or the ISBN number=#;1-4241-6421-4.I will be putting previews and samples in my BLOG here, so check them out and let me know what you think. I will be putting together several collections of Poetry, and my poems range in style and subject, and be about anything. I will be putting samples on BLOGS, so look for them there.Currently I am working on several new books, and shorts. One is a ghost story with a TWIST, the other has a new theory on what ghost are, Hmmmmm, I thought they were ghost, so stay tuned. Some of the short stories I have written, well they mostly have only ever been viewed by those close to me, but I am trying to shed a little light on them, or is that DARKNESS! I am working some new ones as well. Coming soon~ I will have a NEW short story available for download at Amazon.com! The story is Called Immortal Release. I will announce when It goes LIVE! I am working on some other short projects as well, including my horror genre, but also I am venturing into new territory. Sci-Fi/ Fantasy. I have found that some of my so called horror ideas border these other genre's. So I am now thinking Why not? We will see where it goes. I can also tell you that some of the shorts I am working on defy genre, but one can tell they were written by an author that writes horror/suspense.Anyone who wishes to contact me, please leave a comment on this page, and I will get back to you. If you wish, you may email me as well. With questions, or comments. I will try to respond in a timely manner. My email address is: mat-pierce@hotmail.com Use it, but don't abuse it, please. Some Reviews:Mr. Pierce - The newest up and coming Master-in-HorrorI LOVED this book!!! Amazing!!! Spell binding!!! Definitely a novel that's hard to put down. It's pure edge-of-your-seat reading. The story is excellent and the plot ever-thickening. The story winds this way and that way, up and down. I smiled for the characters at their triumphs and cried at their defeats and losses. Although Mr. Pierce's style seems to be a combined talent of all my favorite horror mystery authors, it is truly a style that is uniquely all his own. Mr. Pierce is a great writer and has such potential to rival today's popular authors of horror. I'll gladly read any book Mr. Pierce publishes, and I'm waiting for his next one with bated breath - and with medical professionals close at hand. I recommend this book to anyone who has a good strong heart and loves a great nail biter. ;) ~ Cricket ~ As Posted on Amazon.com A mesmerizing tale of suspense and horrorThis one kept me on the edge of my seat. From start to finish I couldn't lay it down. Absolutely riveting!! A literal roller coaster ride full of twist and turns from beginning to end. This author is the one to watch. Stephen King, Anne Rice and Poe all rolled into one. Young Matthew Alan Pierce is quite possibly going to be one of the most brilliant authors of the century. I not only recommend this one but urge anyone that enjoys a spine tingling trip into the unknown not to miss this one!! Frankie Vail As Posted on Amazon.com~*Note- These reviews refer to my first novel, Reflected Evil, and my artistry as a writer. Thanks for Visiting my page~ Come back anytime~ MAP~ | |
