Then, about 10 years ago, a mate of mine asked me if I could build him a couple of extension cabs for his Marshall amp. He wanted one in Black and one in Purple Tolex, not exactly my cup of tea but then again he was paying for them. After finishing those, I decided it was time to do something with my Fender Pro Junior. I built the chassis into a Bassman sized cab loaded it with 4x10” Jensen Alnico Speakers, covered it in Cream and Brown Tolex and with the wheat coloured grill cloth it looked like a huge 1950’s radio and sounded awsome…unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of it. So that’s how I started, by building different amp chassis into all different kinds of cabinets and now that I’ve finally finished building a workshop my loft, I’m busy building cabs, some of which you can see in the PHOTOS pages.
