Without pause, I immediately let slip an "Oh, for sure", which in my native cali tongue approximated to more of an "Ofersure". This puzzled me; I paused while a strange look of contentment washed over my face. Off in the distance, the faint twang of a banjo could be heard just then; carried by the morning breeze, fragile in the threat of rain, but floating ever softly to my ears... Sure of myself and the action that needed to be taken, I looked down to my young companion, cracked a knowing smile, and sighed as a single tear rolled off my cheek and fell with maddening grace to the pavement below.
