| Hello. Thanks for visiting. I started writing songs when I was in high school... maybe even earlier than that. While I had some songwriting success many years back, life took me in a different direction. Since the early 80s I have been making a living as a business consultant and writing pretty much for my own enjoyment. I've always loved songwriting. I have notebooks filled with lyrics and drawers filled with notebooks. After all these years I've made the decision to make songwriting my priority. Several visits to Nashville and my songwriting is now my full-time passion. You're listening to SOME PEOPLE NEVER GO, HE'S COMING HOME TODAY, I MADE IT THROUGH and TOO MUCH STUFF... four of my most recent songs. HE'S COMING HOME TODAY was co-written with the wonderful songwriter, Karen Loveless. Much thanks to Jared Eaves for the great vocals and to Billy Anderson at Cumberland Recording Studio in Nashville.Beyond songwriting, working to support young people recovering from alcohol and other drug addictions is very important to me. I organize The Ron Simpson Memorial Golf Tournament www.RonSimpsonGolf.org each year to help promote awareness while raising money for organizations that work with kids in recovery.
