About Me
One of the best places where a rock band can be born is a Record Shop, and there was, in Aviles, where Luis M.D. meets Luis A.H., both lovers of good music, mainly ROCK, and good partners in music likes. L.A.H ( a living legend of the Vistrimir grind-core scene) tells L.M.D about the idea of making a rock band based in the spirit of the 80's, but keeping the esence of the old bands from the 70's, so they start meeting just to change ideas, riffs, melodies, lyrics,... etc, and that's how the band begins. Then, L.A.H. talks with Jose (a drummer from Aviles, also known from the shop) if he would be interested in joining them, he listened to their demos and accepted with no doubt. From that time onwards they started rehearsing, and making some accoustic concerts in Gijon and Aviles, well supported by both audience and critic. Just because all of this, they start looking for a bassist and a rythm guitar player for their electric debut as a real rock band, so we have Javi as the bass player and Ricardo H. (brother of L.A.H.), both well known in Aviles and Vistrimir, former members of legendary bands like "Flagelum Dei" and "The Fago Cowboys". Finally the "Leather Boys" were born, with their alter egos: Leather Rose, Leather Sex, Sir Leather Dick, Leather Latin Lover and Leather Flower, forming an openminded group going from classic rock'n'roll, punk, glam, sleaze, hard rock, metal, to even goth rock. All this stuff has made a band with attitude and personality, with an amazing live show where music and party are both important at the time of showing their live power, creating their own style, known as "Leather Rock". ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- -El origen del grupo se gesta en cierta tienda de discos en AvilÃ©s donde Luis M. D. conoce a Luis A. H. , ambos amantes de la buena mÃºsica y principalmente del rock con mayÃºsculas, coincidiendo ampliamente en gustos musicales . L.A.H.(leyenda viva de la escena grind-core de Vistrimir) le plantea a L.M.D. la idea de formar un grupo de rock basado en el espÃritu festivo de los aÃ±os 80, aunque manteniendo la esencia de las bandas aÃ±ejas de los 70, & comienzan a quedar para intercambiar ideas, riffs , melodÃas , letras â€¦etc,formando asÃ el germen del grupo . A continuaciÃ³n, L.A.H. le comenta a Jose (un baterÃa de AvilÃ©s,antiguo conocido de la tienda) si le interesarÃa unirse a ellos ,a lo que este escuchando sus demos aceptÃ³ sin reparos. A partir de aquÃ comienzan a ensayar para realizar una serie de conciertos acÃºsticos en GijÃ³n y AvilÃ©s que son respaldados positivamente por crÃtica y pÃºblico.Viendo la respuesta conseguida, deciden buscar un bajista y un segundo guitarra para debutar en elÃ©ctrico como banda con mas peso reclutando a Javi al bajo y a Ricardo H. (hermano de L.A.H.), ambos con un bagaje considerable en la escena de AvilÃ©s y Vistrimir ,exmiembros de legendarias bandas como "Flagelum dei" y â€œ The Fago Cowboysâ€. Finalmente se transforman en "The Leather Boysâ€ con sus alter egos Leather Rose, Leather Sex, Sir Leather Dick, Leather Latin Lover y Leather Flower, formando asÃ un grupo abierto de mente donde cabe desde el rock and roll mas clÃ¡sico, pasando por el punk, glam, sleaze, hard rock, metal, hasta incluso pinceladas de rock gÃ³tico.Todo esto ha forjado una banda con personalidad y actitud, con una puesta en escena impresionante donde espectÃ¡culo, mÃºsica y fiesta tienen la misma importancia a la hora de descargar su fuerza en directo, creando un estilo propio bautizado por ellos mismos como â€œLeather Rockâ€. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------
