About Me |

| ONE HOPE LEFT was founded in December 2003 in Berlin, Germany. Five young and ambitious musicians of diverse cultural backgrounds and with musical influences ranging from death/grind, crossover, punk and rock/pop ganged up to raise hell! They got going quickly and found a common ground in terms of style so that it didnt take long to write a set with which they played gigs in and around Berlin. The bands energetic live show, the mature melodies and brute breakdown parts caught peoples attention. Thats why a three-track demo was recorded in late summer of 2004 by Flo (Daily Hero Recordings) guitarist and producer of Berlins Punkrock quintet 5Bugs. The result was a controversial response toward the band either people hated or loved them. But that made One Hope Left even more interesting and so they gained many more followers. If things are going so well for a young band, the departure of a band member is twice as painful, so that at the end of 2004, when drummer Dave left for reasons of musical reorientation, the band came to a holdup... However, the interest from the fans and critics side didnt, even for almost a year to come. This, along with the ever-growing wish to play shows with newly-written material, is what kept One Hope Left alive. Since December 2005 they are back with a new drummer and equipped with new songs, making the band appear more mature and showing their great lust for playing. |
