About Me |
|
Blistered! was formed as a direct result of the cataclysmic repercussion's of the English Punk Rock invasion of central Europe. After governments were toppled from power, the Berlin wall removed (an incident that can be directly linked to certain band members) and Ralf Bendix topping the European Charts with "Sie Hieá Mary Ann", Blistered! found themselves out of work, homeless and treading grapes in a French vineyard. Not content with their "Lot", they decided to revive the "pure sound of English Rock", tour the world, play as many gigs as feasibly possible and record some cracking songs. Blistered! have enjoyed radio play all over Europe and have even had two videos shown on UK television. They continue to uplift audience's world wide with their lyrically meaningful songs. Long may they continue! |

Music:Member Since: 1/17/2008Band Website: blistered.de Band Members: The Cast Mickey M. Maniac Drums, Percussion, Swooshy Noises and Backing Vox. MMM joined the band after meeting Lxx on the set of Star Trek Next generation, where he was employed as the Swooshy Noise maker for the sliding doors on the Enterprise. Not having much job satisfaction going swooooosh all day, he decided he'd like to beat the crap out of something. This turned out to be MMM's forte as he became one of the best "beat the crappers" on the European circuit. Now an accomplished rhythm maker in his own right, he lays down the hard neck grooves which are the backbone of Blistered! Lxx Vox, Occasional Guitar and Cheese Grater. Lxx was working as an ice cube designer when he met up with MMM at an ice cube convention in Hollywood. Living in London and working in California was taking its toll, as well as running up huge traveling expenses. Spending 18 hours a day on a plane and having his masterpieces ridiculed in the high society press was no longer fun. He decided to take MMM back to "their roots" and make traditional English Rock music. Now renowned for his lyrics, compositions and whit he is truly at home on stage. Always leaving the audience wanting more, he is the voice of Blistered! Pat E Diablo Bass and Occasional Grunts. He was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, when Blistered! came in for "sex on the beach". Pat got on well the guys from the start. He only knew how to make one cocktail and they could only pronounce one on the menu. This made for an ideal partnership. Not knowing if he could play an instrument, he decided to become a Go-Go girl for the band. Unfortunately he didn't have the legs, so it was suggested he played the bass (4 strings being easier than 6). Within two days he was in the studio laying down a beat. Always popular with the ladies, he is the "Belly Punching" beat of Blistered! Crusty Mac Dingbat Guitar, Backing Vox and Mayonnaise Crusty, a Pizza delivery boy from birth, was stuck on freeway 11, with a flat on his moped when the guys tour bus (Ford Transit) pulled up. After they'd finished laughing and throwing stones at him they asked if they could give him a lift somewhere. He accepted and they took him "somewhere". Where? No one knows. But several weeks later the police found him sitting on a boulder. All he could say was "Fender", which the police took to mean he'd crashed his car. But not so, Crusty emerged as one of the profound guitarists of the century! A Daemon on stage and with a pizza slice he is the groovy riffs of Blistered! Influences: The Clash, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Billy Bragg, Carter USM and The Ramones to name just a few. Sounds Like: Blistered!
