ABOUT THE ARTIST: Born in Upstate New York, Ken discovered the science of welding as a teenager attending BOCES Welding Training Center in Batavia, New York. Upon earning early graduation privileges Ken enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Welder / Shipfitter / Firefighter. This offered him a chance to weld and fabricate metal on ships as well as travel the world. Having access to the ship's weld shop, his free time was spent designing metal sculptures that eventually were displayed at several popular art galleries in New York. Ken then attended college for Mechanical Engineering where he continued his sculpting while engineering classes gave him a better outlook on the design and construction of his work. After graduating, employment at Eastman Kodak Company proved worthwhile due to his exposure of the advances in the engineering industry. Ken was awarded third place (out of 300 participants) at the Kodak sponsored Rochester Industrial "On My Own Time" Art Show. Moving to Southern California, Ken set up his studio and begain producing his now widely popular collectible art and designing custom art pieces for private collectors throughout the world.
