(Scott) Firstly the name, we are named 'Late 80's Baby' simply because we're kids born in the late eighties, but its more about how we want to come across in our music - not as young adults with loads of knowledge, more like the type of kids that you'll always lose an argument with. We were both born just outside of North London (stand up tall!) and to be honest we weren't really close mates growing up, it was more like we'd see eachother at parties n that and say hello. I was always into my hip hop since I was young and when I first started chatting to Solly he was into his grime in a big way, anyways as the years went on Solly started listening to hip hop, rock, american indie etc. I got into a lot of music I would never usually listen to...our sound is linked to our interest and appreciation in a lot of different music so we don't really have any limits.

(Solly) Anyways we both really started talking about making music together in late '05 when I would play on the piano at house parties to impress the girlies, Scotty came up to me one time and started rapping over a little riff I was playing and we both just started vibing. We'd both been writing music, me on acoustic and Scott was rapping on beats, we started vibing together in the Summer of '06 which was when Scott rung me and over the phone we wrote a song called 'Butterflies'. (Chances are you'll never hear it but we just like teasing).

(Scott) So we started practising and gigging etc. and the sound that we've created is hard to describe, we don't really like defining genres so have a listen and let us know what you think. Currently we're recording our demo, new mixes are being done, were organising gigs - jump on the caravelle it's on a long ride... Much love - PEACE.
