T R A N S C E N D E N C EUpdated December 23rd, 2006 Hallelujia Hallelujia!!! TRANSCENDENCE finally resurfaces from the recording studio with TWO NEW ALBUMS!!! And they are asking fans and friends to help choose the first singles!! As many of you know, the group has been holed up without a break for the last five months in the recording studio finishing their newest CD, "All Your Heroes Become Villains", an intense labor of love that took almost two years to complete. Not only did they finish that one, but they tracked and finished another tasty full-length release as well, which is being called "The Great Mistake." When the producer that was recording the group and mixing the "All Your Heroes" CD in Studio B would leave for the night, the group would grab an engineer and head into Studio A where they tracked 13 more songs into the early morning hours. While the "All Your Heroes" CD is on the deep dark heavy moody and conceptual side, "The Great Mistake" CD is more of a sweet simple catchy sweaty garage-rock and power-pop morsel that tastes like a mouthful of Skittels. The band has never sounded more lively rocking and tasty. For a moment it would appear, it seems they put their eclectic expermental agenda aside, picked up their instruments, and just rocked the house, recording most of the songs live as a five-piece band. In fact, what you hear exclusively on their purevolume.com page are "all faders up, live in the studio" versions of the songs that have not been mixed yet. The band is currently in talks with larger record labels about releasing the CD, so there is no official release date yet to announce, but they wanted to get the ’rough mixes’ out so fans could get an advance listen. In the meantime, YOU can play an active role in helping the band decide what the first single from both the new albums will be. The band has posted four new songs from the "All Your Heroes" CD to their MySpace page and five new songs from "The Great Mistake" CD to their purevolume.com page -- All potential singles. Simply listen to the songs from each album, and tell us what you think the hottest track is. OR, what your FAVORITE is. Post a comment or send the band a message or just come back each day to listen to your favorite song. [We will be able to tell just by the song with the "most listens."] The band and its label will then be able to get valuable feedback as to what might be the best track to release to radio and internet radio stations first to best represent the new discs. Enjoy the new tunage, and as always the band thanks you for your love and support. YOU CAN LISTEN WHETHER YOU HAVE A MYSPACE ACCOUNT OR NOT. IF YOU HAVE A MYSPACE ACCOUNT THEN YOU’LL BE ABLE TO POST COMMENTS OR SEND THE BAND A MESSAGE TELLING US WHAT YOU THINK. WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR FEEDBACK AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. SO WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE TWO NEW ALBUMS? "All Your Heroes Become Villains" is a concept album where all the songs are tied together musically and thematically that packs quite a wallop. Sometimes achingly soft and tender, other times more like a two-by-four to the head, "All Your Heroes" is a 50 minute ’put your headphones on’ head-trip. Tracklist for All Your Heroes Become Villains 01. All your heroes become villains –main theme 02. Blind Eye 03. Solaris 04. Waiting for Godot 05. All your heroes become villains – part three – taking the fall 06. Here it comes 07. We are Columbine 08. Indian Princess 09. Messed it up again 10. After tomorrow 11. Last stand at the walls of Zion 12. Bonus Track: All your heroes become villains – part two – what machine r u raging against? THE GREAT MISTAKE While "All Your Heroes..." may be a deep dark beautifully emotional ’head-trip,’ "The Great Mistake" CD would be the soundtrack to a ’put the top down and drive fast’ American road trip. It is a collection of 12 songs the band recorded live in the studio with a stripped down drums, bass, two guitars, electric piano and vocals format. No DJ, no producer, no orchestration, and no additional outside musicians to the band’s basic five-piece line-up. Simply put, "The Great Mistake" is a rocking good time with some of the catchiest songs the band has ever recorded -- all falling under the three-minute mark -- in sharp contrast to the "All Your Heroes..." CD, the longest song clocking in over seven minutes. Tracklist for "THE GREAT MISTAKE" 01.Manchildwoman 02.Monday 03.Baby Bop 04.Nobody’s Listening To You 05.Mongo Kitty 06.Carol’s Catastrophe 07.I remember you 08.Jet Lag 09.The Divine Miss M 10.Who Ya Gonna Fuk 11.Hot Down 12.Quand Tu Mmm (Lust In Central Park) To listen to songs from the new TRANSCENDNCE CD, "All Your Heroes Become Villains," head to the band’s myspace page. www.myspace.com/transcendence To listen to songs from the new TRANSCENDENCE CD, "The Great Mistake," head to the band’s purevolume.com page. http://www.purevolume.com/albums/transcendence/thegreatmista ke All of the band’s albums can be downloaded at iTunes, or purchased through cdbaby.com, amazon.com, or at your favorite local music retailer. GENERAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFO The music group that call themselves TRANSCENDENCE is a tough nut to crack. Like a lot of incestuous rock bands around America, the group is made up of various members of a long-standing local scene who play in many different bands at the same time. Taking it a few steps further, though Transcendence originally formed in Miami and is normally considered a Miami band, one of their two or three (depending on who you ask) drummers lives in Atlanta, and their singer lives in New York, while the rest of the band still resides in Miami.
