| My name is Don Rumsey and I am the Democratic County Chairman in Pope County, Illinois. I was first elected as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman in 1980 in Golconda #3 precinct. In 1986, I was elected as the Democratic Precinct Committeeman in Golconda #1 precinct and still serve in that capacity. From 1986 until 1994, I served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Pope County Democratic Central Committee. In 1994, I was elected by my fellow Precinct Committeemen to serve as the Democratic County Chairman. I am proud of the fact that I am a third generation Democratic County Chairman in my county.
