| The seeds of the band were planted in late 99 when Ross and Will realized that it was time to fulfill their true calling: to kick out the jams! The concept in place, they now needed that missing piece of the riff rock puzzle. Enter Ed, bassist/vocalist extraordinaire and metalhead supreme. Ready to rock, Ed joined forces with Ross and Will, and together they quickly wrote and recorded a 4-track demo cassette that garnered high praise in the underground metal and stonerrock community. In 2003, the band released its first full length, Dawn of the Proto-Man, which was named Album of The Year by Peacedogman.com and Top 5 Debut Albums of 2003 by Chris Barnes on Hellridemusic.com. The disc created enough buzz to get noticed by Japan's Leafhound Records, who put out the band's second effort, Seven Hells. OGRE's third album, Plague of the Planet, is due out in early '08.
