About Me
If myspace is acting weird like it usually is, please go you our Purevolume page to listen to us. First formed in the early summer of 2004 in Southwestern Michigan, it was a long road to get to the final state that Icarus Escapes became. The band first took shape as a five piece, and no one could have expected what would eventually come out of it. After many hardships at first and with a few lineup changes before finding the right personnel, they finally achieved a consistent lineup and thrived ever since. While continuing to write and form new and creative styles along the way, they played countless shows anywhere and everywhere available to them. Whether it is a basement, a coffee house or a larger venue, the guys in Icarus Escapes stayed persistent in trying to reach new and fresh audiences. However, to say that music is different these days is something that rarely happens. Although many bands lay claim to a "different," sound, it is rarely more than a claim. However, in these days of everything sounding the same, Icarus Escapes tried to provide more of an outlet for those looking for something original and creative.
