About Me
Formed in September 2006. VERSUS THE SUN is an established, high energy MODERN/HARD ROCK band from Los Angeles and Orange County. They aren't just a new band though...they are season veterans to the music scene. In Paul and Roger's previous band they released 3 full-lengths, 2 EPs, had some songs on a few compilations, and did 15 self-booked National Tours in the United States and Canada. They also participated on the ENTIRE Van's Warped Tour 2 summers in a row in which they sold 4,000+ records the first summer and 10,000+ records the summer after. They were praised by Kevin Lyman as the "Hardest Working Band On Warped Tour" at the time. Fat Mike of NOFX fame and Henry Rollins of Black Flag fame cited them as the "Most Punkest Band On Warped Tour." It just goes to show that hard work really does pay off. However, we all have experienced a lot in our previous bands. We've all played to empty bars and coffee shops to packed 2,000 capacity venues opening for National Acts to playing on Warped Tour and all the different stages it provides. No matter what size the stage is, or how many people there are in the crowd...it's all the same to us and we always throw it down 200%. We've all recorded in big studios as well as worked with producers. We've done a lot more than most musicians get to do in a lifetime, but we always spent more time playing shows and going on tour rather than concentrating on writing really good songs. This time around with VERSUS THE SUN we are really focused on putting together the best music we are capable of doing that we hope can stand the test of time.
