His right brain was waking up, and he learned to do some art with Photoshop, which greatly pleased him. During this time, he was married, parented, then unmarried (but--NEVER unparented--nuh-uh!). He also had a personal best running streak of 10 days. Then he decided to break that streak and hasn't missed a single day of running (about 2 miles) for over 30 years. Finally, after he had a revelation about what made fiction interesting, engaging, and not sucking--he wrote the mystery MIRACLE MYX--which went on to become a bestseller.
