It's taken me a long time to put something other than pictures in this section because I never really knew what to say. I’d love to WOW you with some incredible life-long story about music, but the plain simple truth is that I don't have one. I won’t apologize for that, because what I lack in experience, I make up for with passion and individuality. I have loved music for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed singing right along. I guess I just never really thought to pursue my passion as a career choice—some might say that would be due to lack of courage—that might be partially true. Back in July of 2007 my father commented, "you are always singing and writing your own lyrics, why don't you do something with it?” Clueless as to how, I asked, “Dad, what do you want me to do?" He simply picked up the phone and made a call to a very dear friend of ours, Mr. Harvey Jesus. It seems like the next thing I knew, there I was up on stage, with Mr. Harvey Jesus handing me a microphone, telling me “Do your thing"—and I did! In the very short time since, I have managed to record 3 of my very own songs and I am working on a few more! I hope to finish the album in the coming months... so please stay tuned. I owe thanks to so many more people than I could possibly name here, but you know who you are and I love you all! Thank you for believing in me and giving me the courage to believe in myself! |
