| SOAB started out in Saguenay in 1993 with 4 high school buddys that wanted to play fast melodic punk rock. They had influences from californian and european punkrock. They gathered more and more shows and finally were playing a lot with Quebec bands and even with international acts such as MxPx, Bracket or No Use For a Name.
In 1998, a conflict in the band's view made Sonny leaving the band. But that didn't stop them! Max took the vocal spot and Bede, one of the band's friend has joined on the bass. After a lot of line-up changes and people starting to move out of the city, SOAB broke up in 2001. SOAB ont commencé au Saguenay en 1993 avec 4 chummés de secondaire qui voulaient faire du punkrock mélodique. Ils étaient influencés par le punkrock californien et européen. Ils ont accumulé de plus en plus de spectacles et finallement en ont fait beaucoup avec des groupes du Québec mais aussi des noms internationaux tels que MxPx, Bracket ou No Use For a Name. En 1998, une divergence dans la direction du groupe a forcé Sonny à quitter. Mais cela ne les arrêtera pas! Max a pris les commandes du vocal et Bede, un ami du groupe, se joint à la basse. Après plusieurs changements de musiciens et les gens qui quittaient la ville pour étudier ou travailler, SOAB s'est séparé en 2001. |
