JASKA SALMI on lauluntekijä/taidemaalari Lohjalta jonka musiikinteko alkoi jo nuoruusvuosina Porissa. Sikäläisten soittokavereitten kanssa hän tuotti neljä vinyyli-LP:tä (1979-1990) "JASKA SALMI & KUMPPANIT"-nimellä.Välivuosien jälkeen J. Salmi on koonnut yhdessä KAMMARIORKESTERIN kanssa CD-äänitteen "KULKI POIS TUO JUNA". Se julkaistiiin 2007 keväällä ja tällä sivulla kuultavat laulut ovat kyseiseltä levyltä.Nyt on tekeytymässä uusi blueslevy SIRKKELI-orkesterin kanssa Chihuahua Studiolla. Luvassa on Jaskan suomenkielisiä sanoituksia urheankarhean juurimusiikin säestyksellä.
