I guess I could best be described as the tattooed girl next door. I love damn good music, with a special fondness for old metal, classic rockabilly, and funk. I have been told that I can come off like an ice princess. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I drink my cheap beer out of the bottle and my favorite piece of clothing is a 15-year-old Black Flag T-shirt stained with my blood and tattoo ink. I like all animals, but I love my two cats. If being a crazy cat lady is wrong, I don't wanna be right. I am a Food TV dork. Cooking has saved me many a dollar on psychotherapy, and you get to eat the fruit of your frustrations. I have even paid for tattooing with cheesecake. My temper is like my hair at times, especially with people who drive like jackasses because they are using their car as a phone booth. I swear that one of these days I am gonna be seen on the news being taken away in cuffs for imbedding a cell phone in some dipwad's forehead. As the years have gone by, I have learned to have a very discerning taste in friends. Heroes:I have many people who I admire. Henry Rollins for his wry commentary on modern life, and Wilma Mankiller for being the first woman to lead my tribe, the Cherokee's(though the women know we have been leading since our ancestor's crossed the land bridge from Siberia during the Ice Age.) When it comes to hero's though, I don't have to look far from home. My Grandfather who taught me that it is ok to not be perfect, but that it is not ok to use that as a crutch, and my mom who worked three jobs to keep a roof over our heads when my old man punked out. |
