About Me |

| I have made my living as a cartoonist/illustrator for more than 30 years, and I intend to show some of my artwork here. I have just joined the space 3. december, and things take time. But you can allready see some of my drawings on the site, and in my pics folders. You can see my website or by clicking here: www.jesperdeleuran.dk . The text is in danish, but I guess the drawings can be seen and understood everywhere. If you are a member of MySpace you can see some of my drawings in my pics folders. More will come as I get the time. You can also see some 100 drawings on the german website toonpool. It is a kind of MySpace for cartoonists. The text is in english there. Check this adress: www.toonpool.com The music I will upload here, is home recordings made on a four track digital recorder, where I play a couple of instruments and sing harmony with myself. So called sandwichrecordings. Nothing fancy. An exception though is Little Sadie which is recorded with the great old-time band Big Hungry Joe I have recently put up Arkansas Traveller with the original lyrics from the first version in 1850. This is my first attempt to record anything with the fiddle, and I wouldn't have dared to do it, if I couldn't hide a bit behind the guitar and mandolin. I guess It could have been better, if I had done retakes 20 times or more, but I settled on first take on all four tracks. After all it is old-time music. The latest songs I have uploaded, is Don’t Try It For It Can’t Be Done. I have it from an old 78' record from the 20's, with the late, great Riley Puckett. You should be able to see the lyrics in the player. The other new one is It' Ain't Gonna Rain No More. This is from another old record with Gid Tanner & His Skillet Lickers. The lyrics is different in this version though. I have found them on a website with tons of lyrics for old traditional songs. And today I uploaded the first recording where I play the banjo, Tom Dooley, in a different version, than that of the Kingston Trio, which I can't stand to listen to today. This version I have heard with Doc Watson and David Holt. No comparison though :-) I have also 13 tunes on eZfolk . Some of them are the same as the tunes you find here.Some are not. But, remember.
