About Me
Started in 1978, broke up in 1981, just to be reformed in 1981 with Micke, Ernie, Bonni and Bjurre. Did a bunch of records and toured around Sweden until 1986 when the band broke up. Did a couple of reunion shows in 1989. Did one more in 1992. Then it was silent for 11 years. In 2003 Asta Kask got up from the grave and went out on a "Revenge tour". What was meant to be just that one tour became more than we had planned frm the beginning, and continued until Bjurre decided to quit the band in 2004. The remaining members brought in Dadde and continued touring, with new energy. The revenge was far from over, there was more to do. In 2005 we learned that the old label Rosa Honung/1000 db had registrated our name "Asta Kask" as their own trademark and was using pure maffia methods in an attempt to silence us and to stop us from releasing our own recordings on our new label Burning Heart, threating to sue us for using our own name. It did not work, even if we are still fighting over the old recordings, Burning Heart released "EN FÖR ALLA INGEN FÖR NÃ…N" in November 2006, the first new Asta Kask album in 20 years. The revenge is over....NOW IT’S WAR! Video "Vill inte va med" by Anders Lövgren and Simon Widen, shot in Stockholm 2006.
