| Welcome to my music page!!! My name is Jere Riikonen, and I am a musicholic. The songs on this website are about emotions, dreams and everything you can imagine. I am all the time writing songs and lyrics, recording them in my so called "studio" and uploading them onto this page. Feel free to enjoy them here in Zerzy's Dreams' MySpace! Even if I am a kind of perfectionist, I sometimes put here tunes that I have recorded in five minutes without caring what people could say about them. Why should everything be so produced anyway? Music is not that serious. :) For me it is important to get the feeling of the moment when I am recording. It is nice to think the moments when those were written because now they are just memories of a period of time. - Honesty: This song is about a town in the USA. I was living the autumn 2006 in Houghton, Michigan. The town was small with warm atmosphere and people were very kind. That touched me deeply. - KK: This spectacular and instrumental tune was written couple of years ago in Ireland. I don't know where the idea came from but it has a certain kind of emotion. The song climaxes with a beautiful end. - The road: This one is about the meaning of life. I question myself that every now and then but I never get the answer. :) This track is just a demo but it had a good feeling so I uploaded it here. New and full version coming soon. - Painful Pleasure: This song has a groovy finger picking riff. It tells a story about a relationship and its two dimensions. - Beautiful: Very soft finger picking with beautiful atmosphere. Includes also a kind of symphonic keyboard. Instrumental song. - Meaningless: This instrumental song has an aggressive beginning which changes through a peaceful part to a massive ending. -Jere ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- 05.06.2008 I just made an inventory of my songs and came up that I have eight songs ready but not recorded. I feel that those songs deserve to be recorded and also some of them released here in MySpace. The songs have many different topics as a suicide and the meaning of life. Fairly negative...but there are also happy songs, I promise. :) The only delay of recording is that as many other people I am a part of the rat race. So only the weekends are for hobbies. But...It's worth it. Stay tuned. -Jere ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------- 16.05.2008 I just found "the lost tapes" on my laptop. There are about 150 recordings which I have recorded during the last 2-3 years when I was traveling around in Europe and in the USA. Some of them are very good and naturally some are...very bad. I have always had a different kind of guitar on my trips so every period of time has its own feeling. Every guitar sounds unique and therefore the feeling is different. Think about a steel-string guitar compared with a nylon-string guitar. When I was listening to those old recordings, I was thinking "who is this guy?". Those tracks were like cover songs to me. It was very interesting thing and I will pick up the best ones and update them to sound like I want them sound now. -Jere Layout by CoolChaser |
