| I am the 1st woman to race with the men in the Nome-Golovin Race in 2006. My Inupiaq name is Aakagyuuk & my married name is E. Connie Peterson. My parents are Robert and Enid Lincoln of White Mountain, Alaska, where I was raised. My grandparents are Tom and Esther Brown (maternal); Abraham and Lucy Lincoln (paternal). In 2008, our basketball team, Akuu's Angels placed 2nd in the Iditarod Tournament. During the White Mountain's 23rd Annual Robert "Putto" Charles Basketball Tournament ('08), I made the All-Tourney Team. My first race was in Elim where I placed 1st.
