Our last event was the ITC unsigned fringe event of the festival an amazing 3 nights with national and international bands joined by some of manchesters finest emerging talent" We got a very welcome vote of confidence in our ITC Offical Fringe showcase ' the Sports Cafe- A huge thanks to all the crew and the bands plus Mark from the sports cafe for hosting the event- all the bands were fantastic- here's to next yearThe Emerging talent of Dr Stragelove captured the musical brilliance of the bands playing at the 3 night "celebration of unsigned music" event held @ the Sports Cafe Manchester Quay Street 20-22nd October FMS promotions to have worked with Dr Stangelove who has covered bands such as; The Magic Numbers, Oasis, 3 MileHigh, North Side, Jamie -T and the Fabulous Ian Brown.Click below for a sample of his current work.Visit Dr Strangelove WE will be showcasing some of the bands featured on the DVD and the CD plus some of the best national and international bands we have featured this year. The DVD and CD will be showcased and screened at the venue all proceedes of sales will go to the Hunts MS Therapy Centre The DVD FILM CAPTURES BANDS PERFORMING IN MEMORY OF TEENAGE ROCK STAR- Tom Jones of (Inkus) Who tragically died in a car incident in April 2005. His Memory Lives on in Music and Film. See the film promo below The DVD was Filmed by Big Head Media group and Sponsered by the Luminus Group. It captures the atmosphere of the Gig in October, which was a huge event; over 900 people turned out to pay tribute to Tom Jones (Inkus) in a night of fantastic music- Approaching $8000 has already been raised for the Huntingdon Multiple Sclerosis therapy centre, with more to follow from DVD and CD sales. Our Last Event was our DVD launch Party 29th June- The premier film preview of the footage filmed at the Cambridge Corn Exchange January 27th 2007- there were fantastic performances from The MoonJets,Rosalita,Lindas Nephew, James Page, AnDog- plus special guest 9FoldPunch and from Chanel 4 Muiscool AxeGirl- 200 people packed the hall and all had a great time- See you at the next One ! Each Year we put on an annual unsigned bands showcase at the world famous "Cambridge Corn Exchange" 7 bands get the chance to play infront of 1000 and have the time of their lives. See Photos of this years event by the BBC below Teenage Kicks Compilation Albumn- Released 27th January, demo version has previously been at Number 2 in the UK Overplay Chart-Line and Features the Number 2 in the UK 2006 Festive 50 "Autons" Snakes plus 22 other stunning tracks. The CD will be released nation wide and will be feature on various radio and music press sources in the coming weeks. International Recognition for Local Gig- There Goes summer 2006August 27th 2006 over 400+ people packed into the George hotel Ramsey to witness a celebration of independent music, that saw 10 live bands deliver some fantastic performances in a 8 hour live music event. Local Cambridge Bands, Equinox, After , AnDog, Linda's Nephew, 9Fold Punch & Badwell Ash & John Pearce, all gave stunning performances, mixed with almost famous bands such as The Clerks, Current BBC radio 1 favourites, who travelled from France, AntiCage and Exciting happy metal dub fusion band from the Chezch Republic, and ACACIA up and coming rock band from the midlands who have just completed a USA tour.Featured bands at There Goes Summer 2006 Legendary Sound Man Mick Hughes from Metalica also stopped by to check out the bands. Mick was impressed with the quality of the bands and especially thought that "AntiCage had a unique blend of Rock that could see them hit the big time in the coming months." This site is insprired by a great young Bass Player who changed the lives of so many people. Tom Jones (Inkus) your memory and spirit lives on in the music you loved so much. I'd like to meet:Bands who want to be part of the annual Teenage Kicks event held in the UK and who want to be part of our gigs !!A Celebration Of Life. Teenage Kicks Cambridge Unsigned Bands & International Guests AntiCage MS therapy Charity Memorial in Memory of Tom Jones (Inkus). A truly amazing display of energy, enthusiasm, musical talent channelled in a celebration of Life- 22nd October 2005 & January 2007 The Corn exchange was packed with 1000 music fans, of all ages who played tribute to Tom Jones, and celebrated his life, with an evening of fine local music, topped off with some international special guests. "hey, I didnt actually know Tom but tonight I went to the tribute gig, at the Corn exchange in Cambridge and I thought it was truly amazing and I am sure Tom is looking down proud of everyone who played. well done everyone" Early reviews of the Gig were upbeat, and the respected independent www. Cambridgebands.com commented - Overall, a strong night, some fantastic talent, and I hope that it all happens again next year. Support for this should be, and is, strong. Everyone went home happy and as the last strains of Jerusalem faded away, into the night I am sure Tom was loving it. Paul T of FMS promotions said; I would like to thank all those who turned up and supported the event, plus the whole of the local music and media community who have banded together to make this such a special night. This event was a great memorial for Tom and a gathering of young people and music fans of all ages from across the UK and a truly great way to celebrate life of a talented youngster who was on the edge of success .
