| Judy Schomper born on 15-10-1956, When she was 10 years old she got her first violin, she has a natural feeling for the instrument and from then on she nourished her talent. Judy is brought up with jazzmusic in her childhood. When she was 14 years old she played for the Dutch masterviolist Herman Krebbers and later on he became her teacher. She learned to play classical music, she likes very much the great classical composers especially Schubert, but at this moment she likes to play modern classical music, Debussy, Ravel, Prokofiev, and popmusic. In 1976 she started the band Flairck with the brothers Visser and Peter Weekers. They became famous with their first record 'Variaties op een dame' very quickly. In 1979 she recieved her masterdegree as a solo violinist, on the Sweelinck conservatory in Amsterdam and she got an award to study two years of chambermusic with Herman Krebbers. When she met her partner guitarplayer Hans Hollestelle in 1983 she learned about rock and roll. They both love minimal music. Her ideal is making new music based on rock and classical influences with new sounds and all the modern technology of this time in their studio in Laren where a lot of musical artists are coming to make grateful use of Hans his talents. Judy and Hans are living in Laren with their two children, 14 and 10 years old. | |
