| VIRTUAL STRANGERS is a unique cyberband forged by Guy Pople. It is comprised of professional musicians representing different cultures and musical genres. Separated in some cases by oceans, the outfit utilizes Internet & Recording technologies to collaborate on original compositions. The current line-up is: Guy Pople (UK) – Guitar, FX & Arrangements Eric Sands (USA) – Bass Fernando Diez (USA) - Drums & Percussion Evva Mizerska (UK) – Cello Paul Cheneour (UK) – Flute John Gibson (UK) - Clarinet & Rhodes Sherene Strausberg (USA) - Piano Alina Bzhezhinska (UK) - Harp Lara Martelli (Italy) - Vocals Maya Sapone (UK) - Soprano Lydia Filipovic (France) - Vocals Periklis Tsoukalas (Greece) - Oud Adam Weinmann (USA) - Cor Anglais The tracks 'CELTIC SHORES'and 'LUNAR NOCTURNE' are taken from debut cd PRELUSION. 'LOST' is an early mix taken from the sessions of forthcoming album MUSICA UNIVERSALIS, due out later this year. Fractal artwork by Marion Kenning. This track is available as a limited edition CD single from www.virtualstrangers.net. Co- Produced by Mark Jones (Tugmusic / Mjmrecording). The rough demo track 'CURSE v2' is the first 5min of an epic 30min sonata currently under development. At this stage it is just the Guitar, FX, Piano and Vocal improv parts. Part fantasy / part allegory, it is a saga which relates the journeys of a tribe seeking absolution from their accursed misfortune. CURSE OF THEIR KIND introduces some talented and exciting new 'strangers': Lydia Filipovic (the sublime voice in the demo), Periklis Tsoukalas (Oud) and Adam Weinmann (Oboe). The artwork for this project is being created by the talented Clint Langley (Slaine - The Books of Invasions 1-3). The legendary artist Rodney Matthews (Asia, Yes etc) has created the long awaited Virtual Strangers logo.
