About Me |

| The two founding members were Michele Zabel (now Wismer) and Kathy Kennedy (now Nichols). They started out in the early 80’s as an acoustic duo playing mainly popular folk songs from the 60’s and 70’s. In the mid 80’s Kathy switched from guitar to electric bass and they added drummer Lisa Hammack to the mix. Their sound began evolving in a new direction toward acoustic-electric rock, incorporating new instrumental techniques and stronger vocal dynamics. During this period Michele became a prolific songwriter. Both the band and the original songs received praise and critical acclaim from The Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Observer, as well as other Texas music magazines. The band split up in 1990 and reunited briefly in 1991 before moving on to other endeavors. Lisa moved to Mississippi and Kathy served as bassist for Crosswinds and later the Wilder and Wyatt Band.
Michele continued to play solo gigs for a few years before moving on to a corporate career path. Back To Zero is currently working on a new CD, to be released in 2008. Michele and Kathy are now available for gigs as an acoustic duo.
