| ..Knoxville, TN's SWINGSHOT formed from the ashes of a cashed-out bowl in August of 2005.
Often called 'Percussive Metal' or 'Swing-Metal' by their fans, SWINGSHOT has perfected a heavy, yet melodic stlye
combining influences from the genres of hardcore, metal, and rock, to pop, rap, blues and swing.
After previous years of playing music together, the members of SWINGSHOT decided it was time to
take their love for music to the next level, it was time to make their dreams reality. Coming out swinging,
they shot onto the Southern metal scene like a cracked-out hobo in Bum Fights 6, playing every rock club,
dive bar, skating rink, battle-of-the-bands, and high school gymnasium in the South-East area they could find.
Utilizing 4 out of 5 members on vocal duties, along with blood-curdling guitar riffage (Jason Puckett), a variety of
slap-bass techniques (Loren Queener), additional custom percussion (Shane Reed), super-tight and thunderous
rock drumbeats (Matthew Bradley), and intensely emotional and philosophical lyrical content (BJ Griffith),
SWINGSHOT are sure to make a name for themselves with their self-released full-length debut cd
