| JAVIER GARCÍA : Javier García was born on May 8th, 1969 in Morón. City, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. At age fourteen, he teaches himself to play the guitar. He then stars studying music both with Ricardo Pellican and Sergio Liszewski and at Escuela Superior de Jazz headed by Walter Malosetti. Later on, he specializes in improvisation, harmony and composition with Francisco Rivero. In order to get acquainted with synthesizers and sequencers he attends the course "Music and Technology" given by Pedro Aznar. In 1987, Javier starts to make public presentations with different bands. Together with Orlando Artusso he forms a guitar duet. He also starts playing with the jazz-rock band "Especies en Peligro", formed by Rene Rossano, Diego Wainer and Sergio Urtubey. In 1993 he joins the funk’roll band "El Mercader" and records a cd. He also participates in "La Custodia", a jazz-fusion band, and is regularly invited to play rhytm and blues with "La Bolsa" and pop-jazz with "Volpini Band". In 1994, together with Carlos Marmo and Sergio Urtubey he launches the project "Multitud Caníbal". This is a period of great creativity both in the field of composition and group improvisation. This band always plays with prestigious guest musicians such as Rodrigo Dominguez, Juan "Pollo" Raffo, Francisco Rivero, Víctor Alonso, Gustavo Infantino, Orlando Artusso, Ricardo Jelicie, among many others. In 1995, Javier García becomes a member of the "Francisco Rivero Ensamble" playing, mainly, Argentinian music. Two years later, he devotes himself to contemporary jazz and forms a new band "Multitud Swingers ", together with Urtubey and Marmo. In 1999 he creates a new band, "Javier García – Andén Sur" which characterizes itself for the composition of Argentinian musical rhytms. The members of the group in this initial stage are Lucas Nikotian (keyboards), Carlos Marmo (fretless bass) and Fernando Diéguez (drums). In 2001, García invites Artusso, Daniel Volpini (drums), Daniel Copquin (bass) and Carlos Marmo to play jazz-fusion in "Javier García & Friends" .
