Since the age of five, Prolyric born Mario Elphage, tapped into his creative energy by understanding and devoping his talents at a young age. When he was old enough to speak, prolyric begain singing in church with his family choir. He also had a passion for art and story telling. These gifts blossomed into an unconceivable amount of thoughts and ideas causing an unstoppable creative flow. His musical talent was sharpened in years 1999 through 2002 by Joan Brown of East St. Louis, Normandy Sr. High School Choir director. Prolyric has scored numerous number 1 honor ratings in male solo vocalist contest, won talent shows in St. Louis, East St. Louis, has made an appearance on 4KMOV Harrah's Lucky-Beak Contest and hit Atlanta's music scene with R&B group "Shade" in 2003.Prolyric is influenced by Erykah Badu's soulful deep rooted messages to the smooth urban sound of D'Angelo and harmonies from Sade and the mindful lyrics of geniuses Mos Def, Common, Black Thought and Talib Kweli. Soon, he will earn his rightful place among the creators and lovers of music. As part of St. Louis's soul and music revolution, Prolyric looks to bridge gaps making his city become one."
