Enter the helix and experience the powerfully inviting duo Mystic & Miranda. Holding their own dynamic musical presence and signature style, they deliver pop-infused melodies and sweet soul with a hint of the islands. The duo made their first appearance on the Canadian music scene in 1999, when radio and music television stations heartily embraced "Thinkin' About You." The multi-platinum selling single went on to win both the 1999 Much Music Video Award for Best R&B/Soul Video as well as the 2000 Juno Award for best R&B/Soul Recording. Mystic & Miranda have been enlisted as vocalists on record and live across many musical genres and generations. Notable recording collaborative efforts include: Maestro "416/905 (Party Anthem)," Snow Mind On The Moon (various tracks), Carlos Morgan (various tracks), Eddie Bullen Make It Real, JD Era "Love 2 Hate" and Ember Swift The Dirty Pulse (various tracks). The young ladies also make regular appearances with Toronto's own veteran funk and jazz-inspired band, Soul Stew as well as the reconstituted Parachute Club featuring original core members -- Lorraine Segato, Billy Bryans, Dave Gray and Keir Brownstone. Mystic & Miranda embrace an independent approach to music creation, which they proudly endorse in the Montreal-produced documentary film What is INDIE?, (directed by Dave Cool). Crafting prolific songs that often step outside of the stereotypical restraints of R&B, their polished lyrics, coloured with unique melodies and crowned with pure harmonies, enables them to set their own standard of quality crossover tunes.
