| The default picture is a clip from the movie "The Rules of Attraction"! I have had so many people think it is me, and it is so funny. Well, I guess because before I had my daughter that is really what I was like. I only party and get wild when I am having some "ME" time. Other than that, I try to be the best mom I can be. So many people tell me how good of a mom I am, and that is a great feeling. I guess it is good to be able to still have your own fun and identity, plus be a great parent. The trick is learning how to balance the two. I am still the old me, but after having a baby it changes you. So, yea I go out very little...it helps keep me sane. Although, I cannot remember the last time I went out. lol. Seriously, I don't do hardly anything anymore, but when I do I HAVE A BLAST! I see nothing wrong with being silly and having fun as long as you do it at the right time. (I finally had a recent night out!) Gwen Stefani and Madonna are my two favorite singer artists. I love watching “The Girls Next Door”, it is very addictive. Holly, Kendra and Bridget are beautiful! Hugh is the MAN…well everyone knows that. Adrianne Curry & Chris Knight are two cool people, and I love their show. I started a fan site for Adrianne Curry and she sends comments! She said I am beautiful; how sweet. Adrianne's mom, Chris, sends me messages all the time with great advice! She is truly a great person! I love spending time with my family, watching my nephews play baseball when I can. I wish I could watch them more, but I am taking classes online this semester, and like I said before I am a mom myself. My daughter is very beautiful, and is super funny. She is a “girly” girl for sure. She likes to wear her cheerleading outfit to the East Carolina University games. I need to put some new pictures of her up on my page. I asked her if she wanted to be a cheerleader like mommy use to be, and she said "yes". She just keeps getting older and older! I love my husband and to me he is the best looking man alive! He has a two year degree in accounting and a four year in business. Sometimes my friends ask if I would exchange my engagement ring for something bigger if we get more money? I let them know, my husband scraped together every penny he had for that ring, and it will be there till the day I die! Don’t get me wrong, a nice wrap would be pretty, but I am thankful for what I have!
I was born here in Greenville, NC, moved away to Wilmington, NC for about five years, and then moved back when my husband and I found out we were pregnant. My husband and I got married in Morehead City, NC on the water front on September 20th 2003. We had our first child, a girl, on June 22nd 2005. We had an emergency c-section, and she weighed 3lbs. 14oz. She is almost three years of age and she is my life. It is amazing to see her grow and learn. I love listening to her sing her alphabet from A to Z and count from 1 to 30. She already is learning sign language, and I constantly have to keep up with her. She loves watching football, baseball and basketball. She says, “Go boys”, when we watch a game live or on the television. As you can see, even though this is supposed to be about me, it has a lot of her in it. I guess now you can tell she is my life.
I went through a really traumatic event when I was 21 years of age, and I am now getting comfortable talking about what happened. I was raped at knife point for five hours, and was able to make it home without having to lose my life. I know it was not my fault, so it feels good not to be silent anymore. I should not feel ashamed about something that was not my fault. I consider myself a survivor, and will use all the negative of the situation to turn into a positive. I would like to teach people, who are potential future jury members, on what really happens in the court setting. There are a lot of things that happen that are hidden from the jurors’ ears and eyes. My plan is to teach young girls and guys on how to avoid this horrible thing from happening. In addition, I would like to help the people who have already been through this devastating thing.
