About Me |

| Rosa Alchemica is a 4 piece alternative new wave post punk band, with a culturally and musically diverse background ranging from a small rock in the South Pacific to far away northern Europe. The band was formed in 2005 and named after W.B. Yeats' 'Rosa Alchemica'.
They recorded their first demo by the end of 2005 after which it became time to turn London's underground scene into their new playground, with fired up performances at several venues including Turnmills, Nambucca, The Purple Turtle, The Good Ship, The Betsey Trotwood, The Horse And Groom, The Pleasure Unit and more recently Cargo, The Metro Club, The Bull And Gate and The Water Rats Theatre. They have been described by witnesses as ‘Idlewild meeting The Cure’, ‘intense, melodic and genuine’, 'the best unsigned band in London' and ‘they take the baby out of The Babyshambles and replace it with the devil’.
A lot of new material has been written and plans are afoot to record the songs for their debut album this October. The release date and label for this album are as of yet unknown, but with current record label interest there is hope this will be set for the end of the year.
What can be said with confidence is that inside Rosa Alchemica there is thirst, passion and talent to be successful at every level.
