I am from a farming family, where i was brought up to believe that animals are 'only' animals, and that they are here for one reason only.
I was also brought up to believe that fishing was right, either for food, or for sport, I was also told that fish feel no pain.
It wasnt until i was a teenager that i began to question and think about everything that i realised that it was all wrong.
So that just goes to prove that it does not matter what sort of upbringing you have had, if you have a brain you are capable of thinking for yourself.
I am not here to push my views on anyone, all i ask is for people to educate themselves on where there food comes from & how it ends up on the plate, and to also question...is it REALLY right to inflict pain, fear, torture and suffering on another living creature for greed, sport, entertainment, fashion,or for science?
When there are so many alternatives out there.
Most people wouldnt even dream of eating a dog or cat, it would be considered cruel, shocking and wrong!...so why is it acceptable to do these awful things to 'farm animals'...they are no different from a cat or dog, and suffer in exactly the same way.
Life is life no matter how big or small.
If you are upset by the imagies and videos on this page...maybe your concious is trying to tell you something...... |
