Shelly Rio, had a modest upbringing, raised in various foster homes and in group homes. She knew what it was to survive. Shelly has always known since a little girl she wanted to model and be in the industry, but couldn't until she was out of the system. Once she turned 19 and on her own, Rio started making her own family and had her first son. Holding a number of jobs before pursuing her modeling career, Shelly worked as a waitress for 4 years. It was however, a customer that approached her and said you should be a model that Shelly decided it was now or never. You have seen her grace the pages of XXL, Blackmen's, Urban Teen Scene, and many more! She recently just graced the cover of King Magazine & BlackMen Magazine, which are one of many more to come. You have also seen Shelly in some of the hottest videos from Jay Z- Excuse Me Again (La La La), Diddy- Through the Pain to Chris Brown- With You and Lupe Fiasco- Superstar. She has worked with some of the hottest and well respected video directors like Chris Robinson, Erik White, Benny Boom, Little X, Jesse Terrero, Gil Green and Brian Barber. You have also seen her on Nick Cannon's number 1 hit show, MTV Wild N Out -as a Wild N Out Girl. What's next for Rio you might ask? Reality Television! That's right, ShellyRioTV aka SRTV will host all of her videos, behind the scenes, movie trailers, outtakes and much more. But with a reality show in the works, Shelly Rio is soon to be a household name and SRTV is already becoming her fans favorite online channel. Lookout for Shelly Rio in Karl Kani's "Kani Life" -Spring '08 Ad's and Bacardi Gold -Spring '08 Ad campaigns in April. She's also the new Bacardi Gold -life size cutout cartboard model as well. Which will place her throughout the globe where Bacardi is sold and Shelly Rio will be featured in J'Adore Magazine, May/June 2008 in their Live from Paris, Anniversary Issue.
