| Since the project Andreas Gode have many similarities with the person Andreas Gode, you could argue that Andreas Gode was formed (at least physically) in the Swedish industrial town of Sundsvall, some 27 years ago.An alternative history writing would be that something happened in the teenage Andreas when he discovered 60’s pop through a coverband on a ski resort. The sweet melodies, the mysticism of times never relived. Rambling along with the audiance wasn’t enough for the young boy, he had to be part of the music, to let it run through his brains and guts and out through his mouth and hands. He did the only reasonable thing and started a band.A third version would be that the project arose in 2007, when Andreas recorded a few of his own songs in a studio in Haparanda, playing the instruments he could manage, and using friends for the others. This resulted in the EP “Haparanda Stad” (2007) which received great reviews, with comments like “the Swedish Sufjan Stevens”. Since then, the songs have been performed here and there throughout Sweden, Finland and Scotland, in company with later compositions.These songs are currently being recorded for a planned self-financed debut album. What will happen from then on is written somewhere, but not here… .. This site is a place for people to get to know some of the songs I write. They come in all kinds of shapes and forms, but genres are uninteresting for the artist. Languages are not, so why stick to one? They all have different melodies inherrant. Take a listen! | |
