| Torrid is the destination for fashion in sizes 12+. The market for trend focused fashion in sizes twelve and up is the fastest growing segment in the United States. Armed with this information, Torrid began an intensive research and development process. An overwhelming number of requests from young, female shoppers began to roll in. This customer knew what they wanted; they wanted Torrid and they wanted it now! Torrid launched it's website and opened it's first stores' doors in April, 2001. Torrid looks to fashion icons, runway trends, music influences, and pop-culture as they relate to the Torrid girls' various lifestyles to get inspiration for development of the product mix. The assortment is 50% Torrid private label and 50% well known fashion brands like Paris Blues, Freestyle Revolution, Z. Cavarricci, Tripp, Hot Kiss and others. The assortment is offered in sizes 12 to 26. Each item goes through a rigorous fit process to ensure the best quality and best fit for the Torrid customer. |
