| Vielen, die sich hierzulande für handgemachte akustische Musik interessieren, dürfte Eddie Arndt kein Unbekannter sein. Begeistert er doch zusammen mit seiner Partnerin Sarah-Jane Himmelsbach seit nunmehr 11 Jahren sowohl bundesweit als auch im benachbarten Ausland mit dem Duo Bardic bei über 800 Konzerten das Publikum.
Auch als Solokünstler konnte er mit seinen Liedern und seinem sympathischen Auftreten bereits bei bezahlreichen Konzerten und u.a. als Opening Act für bekannte Künstler wie dem Kanadier Ron Sexsmith, The Proclaimers, Poems For Laila und der Ton Steine Scherben Family sowie mit seinen Live-Auftritten im WDR-Radio überzeugen.
In seinem Soloprogramm „Songs I Can Sing And Play On Guitar At The Same Time“ begleitet sich Eddie Arndt, wie der Titel schon sagt, auf seiner Akustikgitarre und erzählt in seinen Liedern mit angenehmer, leicht angerauter Stimme Geschichten vom Leben, der Liebe, von Träumern und ihrer Sicht auf die Welt.
Kennzeichnend für seine Musik ist eine „leichte“ Melancholie, die sich durch die Songs zieht, gepaart mit einer ungeheuren Energie und Dichte.
Mal dem Indi-Pop/Rock oder Alternativ Folk zugeordnet, bezeichnet Eddie selbst seine Musik als „Emotive Acoustic Music“ - gefühlsgeladene akustische Musik.
Und da darf es auch mal laut werden…
Im Konzert werden überwiegend die Eigenkompositionen gespielt, doch lässt es sich der charismatische Musiker nicht nehmen, auch hin und wieder Stücke anderer Songschreiber ins Programm zunehmen und ihnen seine eigene Note zu geben.______________________________________________________
___________Those who are interested in handmade acoustic music in germany, may know Eddie Arndt, because he is one part of the duo BARDIC which has been entertaining audiences in more than 800 concerts in and around Germany, together with his partner Sarah-Jane Himmelsbach.
Also as a solo artist he has inspired his audiences with his songs and performances, not only as an opening act for Canadian Ron Sexsmith and The Proclaimers, but also live on German radio station WDR.
In his program “Songs I can sing and play on guitar at the same time” Eddie accompanies himself in the old singer/songwriter style on his acoustic guitar and tells stories about life, love, of dreamers and their views of the world.
We all know these stories; however Eddie is able to perform them in his own special way with his unique smoky voice.
An evening at Eddie’s concerts is like an excerpt from our own life, you dry away the tears after something sad happens, and already there is something to smile or even laugh about.
Most of the songs are composed by himself, but from time to time, the charismatic musician also sings songs from other songwriters giving them his own special touch.
Because of their catchy melodies, and even if they are melancholic, the songs find a direct way to our ears and stay there for quite a long time after the concert is over.

The first record I called my own was "Love Gun" from Kiss and my 2. one was "Overkill" from Motörhead (still one of my favourites).
