i just moved from hot-n-ornery new york to warm-n-trafficy los angeles. i like it here. the people are nice and the air (in santa monica) is sweet. plus, this place is teeming with musicians and venues, both of which i dig. i spent most of my life playing music in the new york city rock scene. there's no shortage of great musicians in nyc so i was constantly either playing or making arrangements to play. i'm looking foward having a similar experience out here.

at 17 i got to do a few punk-rock van tours across europe and the US. after that i was focused on nothing but writing, playing, recording and touring as much as possible. this led to some great opportunities supporting the strokes, joe strummer, blondie, the buzzcocks, tommy tutone and faster pussycat to name a few. plus, i got to make some history with the realistics as we were one of the first american rock bands to perform in china. between tours i kept busy making music for the gap, usa network and making records with rock icons steve albini (nirvana, pixies, pj harvey), martin bisi (sonic youth, herbie hancock, brian eno), john siket (dave matthews, phish, sonic youth) and matthew ellard (elliott smith, juliana hatfield, mike watt) in legendary rooms electrical audio, b.c., loho, greene street and q division. oh, and, about a year ago, i saw gwar play. ever seen? dude. crazy.
