| I Disease Illusion nascono nell'estate 2006 con il nome di The Reapers, e sono inizialmente composti da Feed (chitarra) Dario (chitarra) Miki (basso) e Matteucc (batteria). Per mancanza di un cantante "di ruolo" è Dario a occuparsi delle parti vocali, cantando in pulito. Inizialmente orientati verso l'heavy e il thrash, i The Reapers cambiano genere dopo l'arrivo nel novembre 2006 del cantante attuale, Ferrucc, dotato di una vocalità molto più violenta e orientata verso generi più estremi. Da quel momento i The Reapers iniziano a suonare cover death metal (Dark Tranquillity, Death, Inflames, Children of Bodom) e compongono un loro pezzo intitolato The Opposer che segue lo stile swedish-death.
Il loro primo concerto fu il Calderino rock festival in data 06/07/2007, dove si esibirono con le cover provate nei mesi precedenti e con il pezzo proprio che verrà poi registrato due settimane piu tardi. Dopo il concerto i The Reapers poco soddisfatti del loro nome che sembrava fin troppo scontato, lo cambiano in un nome molto più originale e ragionato: Disease Illusion.
Dopo la registrazione della prima canzone i Disease Illusion trascorrono l’estate scrivendo pezzi per prepararsi alla stagione dei concerti ormai alle porte.
In seguito, a fine dicembre 2007 i Disease Illusion decidono di fare un primo cambio di line-up per quando riguarda la batteria che però si rivela inutile, poi entra nel gruppo il nuovo batterista Gaio, che con le sue numerose esperienze in vari gruppi, vari generi e con gli anni di esperienza attribuisce ai Disease Illusion una sonorità completamente rinnovata.
A inizio giugno 2008 la band entra in studio per iniziare le registrazioni dell'EP autoprodotto, per ora è stato registrato il primo pezzo: Predator.
