| 19 years old San Antonio-based super producer Romey Rome Beatz has already arranged classic material for the masses. Borrowing psychedelic funk influences from his native Jamaica and Philladelphia and incorporating them with heavy 808 Southern bass, Rome has become the most talented knob twister you never knew. As the musical mastermind behind underground staples Highstar Ent, Downsouth Affliated Records hard head D.Cooley,Lil Looney and many of D.Cooley favorites like ..Frosty,.. ..Maintenace Man.. and ..Been Doin Dat,.. And Lil Looney Favorites...Im Back...and D-Boy. ..I got what the game haven't heard,i got the real hustler's ambition,.. he says. ..A lotta cats use all these expensives equipments to make an industry instrumental. I don't do that...and thats real. Born in Jamaica, Rome has lived all across the country and abroad- from Washington DC, California,To Philly. It was during his time in Philladelphia that Rome reached his formative years. He learned to play piano by ear, soon began selling beats to local Southwest Philladelphia Area rappers. ..I was producing tracks for lil looney from dsa records...and one day he called me and he was like"damn dawg,where do u get yo sounds from? they are something crucial"...lol Rome started taking his career seriously when he moved to San Antonio,Tx,and thats when his name started getting around and he decided to make it his new home. ..I just started getting alotta work done here in texas more than i ever would back home in philly,and i jus decided to stay here and put this city on the map...lol...you can hear D.Cooley giving a shoutout to San antonio Texas on the track i produced for him called "Been Doin Dat" It took Rome at least 3 years to adapt to the durty south type beat.He was adjusting from making beats for eastcoast rappers to texas chopped and screwed and the real durty south type hard thumpin beat..so it wusnt until 2007 that rome bought himself a midi keyboard and started making some southern style beat and everybody loved em. Rome is currently working on alotta project with DSA records and have 2 mixtapes coming out soon where some of his beats will be featured on with artist like D.Cooley,Lil Looney,Yung Tre,Supaman,Mah Mah, and the whole DSA Records Fam. Holding down two different cultures, Romey Rome Beatz knows the formula for success and is currently cooking it all up. ..I had to learn that the music industry doesnt come at you,you come at it;showing it what you got that nobody else's has and why you think you will be a great asset...my sounds answer all those questions.
