| Ray Wellz is a 26 year old (born August 19, 1981) rap/hip hop artist, song writer, and devoted father from West Philly. He was first introduced to hip hop at a very young age by his older cousin "Myley Gates", who is also a hot artist and song writer. Wellz has a very unique style and original flow. He is a gifted lyricist and is different from any other artist in the industry. His most appealing attribute is his versitility in creating songs. Wellz is currently signed to Calm Down Records, Inc. an independent record label. Since the age of thirteen he has been rapping, but it was just a hobby. Wellz stopped rapping for three years until he met Jay Billin, CEO, producer, and artist of Calm Down Records. Billin recognized Ray's talent and the two have been making music ever since. Ray picked up right where he left off before taking a break from rap and is now focused on becoming successful and taking care of his family and the people who were there for him in life. His debut album, "Best Artist Of The Year" is complete and features 15 bangers all produced by Jay Billin. The album is dedicated to Ray's father who was his best friend and number ONE supporter. Ray Sr. passed away in 1999 but his legacy is continued through his son. He taught Wellz to always follow his dreams and to strive to be the best in whatever he wanted to do in life. In addition to Wellz album, "Jay Billin" self titled album, and Husko "Need No Introduction" also dropped solo albums in April 2008. All three albums were produced by Billin and no samples were used just all original music. The songs have substance and not just random bullshit talking about nothing. Calm down has numerous unreleased songs that will dominate the airwaves for years to come. Calm Down Records is the new movement and they are about to take the game over.
