Television:I'd only like to add to this a couple facts: 1. "Nitrogen" fertilizers are most frequently derived from petroleum, which has already peaked and which will only become more expensive. When it becomes prohibitively expensive to make and use these fertilizers you will see a collapse in food production and mass starvation. 2. We have over one billion more people on the planet today than when this movie was made. That means that a majority of the global population would starve if we all tried to eat an American style diet, not just half of the global population as it states in this movie (as if half of humanity starving to death is acceptable). |
