| gDub is not a band. It’s me. My name is Greg. This is my personal music site. History time now, gather ’round children: as a kid I played clarinet and piano but by the time I was out of high school I had it in my head that playing keyboards was lame (what was I thinking) so I (permanently) borrowed a bass from a girl friend and taught myself to play by jamming along with Cure albums. Simon Gallup is god.On bass, I jammed w/ a few N. Van hacks before joining Obscene Silence. That lasted about a decade or so. I have posted a song I wrote w/OS in 96, called Eternal Tides. During this time, I also played bass w/ Fiction and the eliXXXirs and keyboards w/ the Jacob Isaiah project and the Bluesbombers. This all fed into my working with Glenn Gillis and a few abortive attempts at putting a band together which eventually led to Stride Elementary. 2 songs from this pre-Stride time, Maroque & Follow You are here for your aural pleasure. In the past few years I have had the pleasure of playing keys, guitar and bass w/ HINTERLAND and writing and recording a sweet record (hear You Speak... above from this album), bass & keys w/ STRIDE ELEMENTARY, bass & keys w/ Cam McLellan’s SOLARISTS, bass w/ KEVIN TITCOMB’s solo work, guesting on guitar with WINDOWS ’78 and most recently giving PAINT a hand with some low-end freqs for an upcoming show.
