| Imagine working at a steelworks in a northern town for more years than you care to remember, with words and lyrics always the main distraction from it all. Hastily written down on the back of job cards and scraps off paper, hidden away from your mates and managers prying eyes only to be removed from your grubby overall pocket when in the safety of your own space. Words about everything from childhood dreams, Love lost and found through protest for peace, past and present, religion and rebellion, safety at work and Death to name just a few. Eventually after struggling away through a process of strumming and singing you get something that to your ears at least resembles a song. The completed article can then be filed under probably finished and the next set of words attacked. By constant repetition you find you can remember completely the words and chords to all your "songs" so your now ready for the "Concert for Yourself" which establishes once again you are a "Legend" in your own Living Room. Then along comes My Space which for a short time after seeing and hearing yourself on the PC makes you want to keep reaching for those job cards and grubby pieces of paper...
